Corporate History
Loraas Disposal Services Ltd. was founded in 1965 by Bruce and Carman Loraas. Through its unrelenting commitment to customer satisfaction, Loraas Disposal has become the largest independently-owned solid waste collection, recycling and disposal company in Saskatchewan, and one of the of largest in Western Canada.
Focused on outstanding customer service, Loraas Disposal has grown and expanded operation since 1965 and now offers complete waste and recycling solutions. The company provides a variety of services including commercial waste collection, removal of construction and demolition debris, residential waste collection, recycling and portable toilets (Regina branch only).
Loraas Disposal, combining excellent service and customer value, now operates a fleet of over 60 trucks, maintains two full service shops, and employs a staff of over 100 people. In 1987 Loraas Disposal opened Northern Landfill , becoming Saskatchewan's first privately owned landfill. Northern Landfill was also the first landfill in the province to employ advanced engineering technology to contain solid waste in a safe, environmentally conscious manner.
In 1995, All Green Recycling was opened to satisfy the recycling needs of Loraas Disposal customers. Today, All Green is one of the largest materials recovery facilities in the province and services commercial and municipal customers in Saskatoon and throughout Saskatchewan.
