Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Operating forklifts safely and efficiently

  • Wash containers, trucks, and floors
  • Ensure Wash Bay is kept in clean and safe working condition
  • Ensure all containers coming into the shop are washed and left in a state that is representative of our service levels
  • Responsible for prioritizing work, based on communication with operations management staff, operators, mechanical staff, welders, and others to ensure that customer expectations for timely service are met
  • Report containers needing repair

Qualifications:

IT Network Administrator

Loraas Disposal North Ltd. is looking to fill the position of IT Network Administrator. Reporting to the General Manager, this role will primarily provide internal IT support, such as server security, software updates, and hardware maintenance, as well as technical advice and assistance to employees. This role will also troubleshoot errors and fix system issues via periodic testing, help desk tickets, and other methods.

Duties

  • Provide one-on-one end-user support and problem resolution via in person, telephone, e-mail, and other vehicles of communication
  • Provide first-level help desk services on software and hardware issues
  • Diagnose and resolve minor network issues
  • Research, design, and implement the appropriate technologies to support and improve corporate communications, access to information, and end-user productivity
  • Provide internal IT support, such as server security, software updates, and hardware maintenance

Organics Facility Operator

  • A variety of labour and light equipment operation duties (forklift & loader), including grounds maintenance.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and policies according to company Safety Manual and OH&S Regulations.
  • Perform daily safety and maintenance checks and report any issues or items of concern found.

  • Responsible for ongoing maintenance and repair of a wide variety of equipment, both mobile and stationary
  • Hands on troubleshooting, repair, adjustment, overhaul, and maintenance of trucks and heavy equipment used in waste hauling, earth moving and landfill operations, and commercial trash compaction equipment and balers
  • Dealing with breakdowns in the shop, on the road, at the landfill, and at customer sites

Qualifications:

  • Journeyman (or equivalent experience) Heavy Equipment, Truck and Transport Technician, or Industrial Mechanics, some experience with truck and trailer an asset
  • Experience in electronic and pneumatic control systems, diagnostics on control systems hardware and software problems is an asset
  • Minimum valid Class 5 driver’s license with acceptable abstract required

Class 3A/1A Driver – Saskatoon

Duties: 

  • Training for and operation of Front-end, Roll-Off, or Side-Load waste and recycling collection equipment as a full-time operator, training on equipment is provided
  • Coordination with fellow operators and employees within other departments to ensure maximum efficiency in daily operations.
  • Container maintenance, equipment maintenance, buildings and facilities work, and other duties as requested, when additional drivers aren’t required.
  • Adherence to company, and customer, site safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Class 3A license required (1A preferred) with clear abstract (submit with resume)
  • Strong knowledge of Saskatoon and surrounding area
  • Minimum 3 years solid driving experience- short haul/ city experience preferred
  • Hydraulic equipment experience, and/or farm background an asset
  • Dispatch experience considered an asset
  • Able to work both in a team environment and unsupervised
  • Excellent logistical and organizational skills
  • Good communication skills
